EWN Clean Open (Long Version)

 This is the original Frank Gari's Eyewitness News theme opening credits clip .  It doesn't include the bumper (see here), making this a 'clean open.'  As you can hear, the Eyewitness News theme uses big brass instruments, such as trumpets, that calls your attention to what is coming up on the news.

EWN Clean Open (Bumper)

 This is the same clip as the one above, except that the Eyewitness News "bumper" is attached to the end.  It is the same one which is played on the 5, 6, and 11 pm newscasts

EWN Alternate Clean Open

 This is an alternate Frank Gari's Eyewitness News theme opening clip.  I believe that the high frequencies are enhanced, making a "different" sounding EWN clean open than the original one.  Hear for yourself...

EWN Clean Open (Short Version)

 This is the shorter version of Frank Gari's Eyewitness News theme opening clip.  I edited it myself, taking out the "drum roll" sound thereby shaving off 4 seconds from the total playing time. 

EWN Clean Open Short (Bumper)

 Used on the 5-6 and 11am, and 4pm newscasts, this clip is a shorter version of Frank Gari's Eyewitness News theme opening.  It is the same as above, except the "bumper" is attached at the end.

EWN This Morning Bumper

 During the 5-7am abc7 Eyewitness News newscast, this is the current file played for news bumpers and the ending for the newscast.  Unfortunately, this is the best sound quality I could find...

EWN Bumper

 This is the official abc7 Eyewitness News bumper.  It is attached to the 'clean open' for all newscast intros.  Also, this is the clip used for EWN Updates, newscast bumpers, and played for Special Reports from abc7.  It has a fast paced beat that sounds urgent.  abc7 Eyewitness News has used this same clip for many years, and personally I don't think it will ever get old.

EWN Credits Theme (Clean Version)

 This clip is used when abc7 Eyewitness News airs their credits after their 6pm newscast on Friday evenings.  NOTE: this particular version is played to video without AIR7 and its "fly-by" noises.  See below for the alternate version.

EWN Credits Theme (AIR7 Version)

 Played during the credits when the AIR7 video footage is used.  NOTE: Before playing file, please turn down your speakers; this file isn't in the best quality and is very loud...look for a newer file soon!

EWN Credits Theme (Hot Air Balloon)

 This is an exclusive abc7 Eyewitness News theme from ABC7LA.  Only played once, this file was used as a background theme to the credits for a promo for an upcoming hot air balloon show.

 I believe this is just a part of the original EWN Credits theme; even though it's only 30 seconds, it makes a great EWN bumper!

EWN/NBC News Themes

 Frank Gari is the creator of both the ABC7 Eyewitness News theme and NBC4 Tower theme.  Therefore, here is a clip that is from the NBC4 theme, but because of the trumpets used, it sounds very similar to the EWN theme.  Hear for yourself!!

EWN Everywhere Promo

 This is an exclusive Eyewitness News promo file from ABC7LA.  Used at WABC-TV Eyewitness News in 1998, it displays how EWN is #1 in coverage and how it can be everywhere you want it to be.  Even though this was used @ KABC-TV's sister station in New York, I believe it can also be of use here in Los Angeles--even in 2003.  Remember, you heard it here first at ABC7LA.

EWN Station Promo (Generic)

 This is a unique voice-over file that can generically be used at any abc7 Eyewitness News station.  I know for sure it doesn't originate from KABC-TV, but I'm sure it can modified to fit the L.A. market.  Once again, ABC7LA is bringing this clip to you exclusively.

EWN/ABC7 is #1 Station for News

 This clip is used rarely used on any abc7 Eyewitness News promo spots.  However, I believe it has a catchy sound to it...thus making another great addition to Frank Gari's EWN theme.

 Same as above, except there is a loop in the beginning.

 Only used when their is a dramatic EWN promo needed.  I think it was used during the War with Iraq coverage.

 The sound quality isn't great, but you get a sampling of some really fast paced EWN promo themes.

 Same as above, except that the sound quality is much better.

 Here is another fast paced EWN promo file.  Not used too many times in today's promos.

 In 2002, this clip was attached to many of the EWN promos.  I think it sounds really cool for a 6 sec. file!

 Still used today for EWNTM promos or during the EWNTM newscast for what's coming up on tomorrow's newscast.

 There are a bunch of EWN promo themes that have a "jazzy" sound to them.  It demonstrates how Frank Gari used the EWN signature to influence everything he created for abc7.  This one isn't in high quality, but has a some sound that the file below doesn't have in the beginning.

 This is a very slow, sleepy sounding EWN promo theme.  However, I think it sounds great for use during the holidays or something.

 A more up-beat faster paced jazzy promo than the ones you've been listening to.
